Transfer Books
Sample Daisy books
DAISY 2.02 and DAISY 3 book samples can be downloaded from Daisy Consortium. Daisy book usually comes in a zip file which will be automatically unzipped into a separate folder after download is complete.
There are 2 ways to transfer Daisy books between InDaisy Reader and your computer: Using iTunes File Sharing or Using FTP.
Using iTunes File Sharing
You can transfer your Daisy book zip file using iTunes's File Sharing feature. If you wish to transfer your Daisy book folder, please use the FTP method.
1. Open iTunes
2. Select your device and click on the Apps tab
3. Select InDaisy Reader App in File Sharing section
4. Add the zip file that contains the Daisy book to the InDaisy Reader Documents window.

5. Go to InDaisy Reader's Bookshelf and press the Refresh button on top right corner. Your Daisy book will be listed on your Bookshelf.

Using FTP
You can transfer your Daisy book zip file OR Daisy book folder using the FTP method.
Turn on FTP server
1. From InDaisy Reader's Bookshelf, select the Settings button located near the top right corner of the screen:

2. On the Settings page, turn on the File server switch and enter desired FTP User name and Password that will be used by the FTP client to connect to InDaisy Reader.
Note that both the default FTP user name and password is, daisy. Please change accordingly.

Upload books from Computer to InDaisy Reader
FTP client software
You can use any FTP client to transfer books onto your InDaisy Reader. On Windows, you can use Windows Explorer or FileZilla. On Mac, you can use Panic Transmit. For demonstration purpose, we will use Windows Explorer, which has FTP client functionality.
Transfer books
1. Open Explorer by right-clicking the start button and select Open.

2. In the Address bar of Explorer, enter "ftp://IP_address" where IP_address is displayed in the Settings windows of InDaisy Reader, if Wi-Fi is enabled for your device.

3. From the File menu of Explorer, select Login As.

4. In the Log On As dialog box, fill in User name and Password listed on Settings page of InDaisy Reader. Click Log On button to connect to InDaisy Reader.

5. In another Windows Explorer window, select the Daisy book zip file OR the folder that contains the Daisy book from your computer, drag and drop it to top-most directory of InDaisy Reader FTP server in Explorer.

After the upload is complete, you can close the Explorer windows.
6. Go the InDaisy Reader's Settings page and turn off the File Server.

7. Go to InDaisy Reader's Bookshelf and press the Refresh button on top right corner. Your Daisy book will be listed on your Bookshelf.
